queer the vote

As the oldest national LGBTQ advocacy organization in the U.S., the National LGBTQ Task Force has long been one of the most prominent and effective voices in the space. Partnering with them as a long-standing client, RAD built the visual brand and creative foundation for their national Queer the Vote campaign.

A bright, vibrant brand design compliments their existing brand, evokes a celebratory character — and is meant to stand out among a sea of election-year get-out-the-vote efforts.

Our Strategy

Our project included an original visual brand concept and design that would carry across their full suite of channels and campaign needs including key collateral materials such as Step and Repeats and other signage, t-shirts, buttons, and more.

Our visual brand design for the campaign follows extensive work with Task Force on a fresh and powerful new website design backed by a highly customizable and versatile multilingual WordPress site.

Highlights of our full website redesign include:

  • Annual Gala Support — The website includes additional templates for the Task Force's signature annual Gala event, allowing these former microsites to come into the same WordPress site while maintaining their separate menus, identities, and requirements.
  • Design and layout options that maintain brand cohesion across pages.
  • Easy Website Management — Internal content creators can easily create robust landing pages using a library of custom blocks that require no HTML to implement. Staff can also easily insert buttons, images, videos, pull-quotes, and other multimedia within articles, providing a rich user experience.

  • Robust Content Strategy — RAD helped the Task Force navigate a major content overhaul of the site, as the bulk of the pages about their work needed complete rewrites. This included providing a content audit, strategy recommendations, project management tools, additional content support, and frequent guidance throughout the entire project.
  • Search Engine Optimization — Whereas previous redesigns resulted in hundreds of lost pages and broken links, RAD ensured that URLs were managed to maintain optimal SEO and resolve previous issues.

The new site is also optimized for performance, security, and SEO, and gives the Task Force a digital presence to match their organizing power.
